Is Colvin Almost Ours?

This per KFFL.com

Cardinals | After Colvin In A Big Way? - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
8:55 PT: The Arizona Republic reports the Arizona Cardinals are making a big push to sign free agent LB Rosevelt Colvin (Bears). "We're still chopping wood," Rod Graves, Cardinals vice president for football operations, said Saturday. "I'm very hopeful that we'll be able to have one or two of these (free agent contracts) in place. I was hoping for that (Friday.)"

I don't know....according to KFFL:

Texans | More On Colvin Visit - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
9:15 PT: The Houston Chronicle reports free agent LB Rosevelt Colvin's (Bears) visit to the Houston Texans went well. He was persuaded to visit Reliant Park after a call from coach Dom Capers. "It's definitely appreciated," Colvin said of Capers' personal involvement. "The way they expressed their interest really got my attention and made me think that maybe they really have something to offer me." Although Colvin has played only in 4-3 defenses, he believes his abilities match up well with the Texans 3-4 defensive scheme. Colvin could command an annual average salary of $4 million. Interestingly, Colvin said he and his agent, Kennard McGuire, have not begun considering salary offers.

That really sucks....if I were Colvin, I would be very intrigued by the prospect of playing in a Dom Capers run 3-4. Colvin is a perfect fit in that defense, and would put up huge numbers.

I feel the odds are not in our favor for signing Colvin. But, if Houston or Detroit signs him that means it's more likely we can get Suggs. Hopefully, If Detroit or Houston sign Colvin we can sing Blake or Stewart, Baltimore get the other QB, forcing Chicago to take a QB with their pick.
