is 8 and8 annnd the playoffs an improvement over 8and8 and not
i go back and forth on this team sometimes we look impressive other times not so much
so our remaining schedule i see the only game i'm able to call an almost sure thing is the rams at home, that gives us one more win and the division title the seahawks could get us to 9 and 7 but phillie minnisota and the patriots ain't gonna be pushovers
and we ain't used to playing with something on the line except draft position
so 8 and 8 division champs don't do much for me, i think were improving in some ways but got a lot further to go than my kool aid addled mind was expecting
so whiz gets us to the same record as last year but because our division is so crappy we win, do you consider that progress or dumb luck
at this rate when we do win it we will be one and done
i don't want to settle for that and i hope the bidwells ain;t happy with a once in a decade playoff appearance,
essencitially were no better than last year if we don't have a better record i don't give a crap if we make some crappy playoff apperance or not
i expect better from the decades of emotional and monetary support i'vr thrown behind this franchise
two years ain't much time to turn around a franchise with our losing tradition,
but if we don't run away with the west next year and end up 11 and 5 or something
then my heads gonna explode

The ABSOLUTE worst this team can finish is 9-7 IMO. They have home games still against St. Louis and Seattle. I also believe they will get one more either against Phili, NE, or Minnesota, so I stand at 10-6
I think we'll get to 10-6.. would have been nice to win today and have an outside shot at the #2 seed.. but now it looks like that probably wont happen
I think we lose to Philly and NE.. and win our three home games

Agreed. Philly and Minnesota should be worried about us in my opinion. We will beat the Rams and Seahags.
freebyrd, your wallowing in defeatism is touching. It must be hard for you to drag yourself through every day. There must be a support group somewhere to help you cope. Call 1-800-CRY-BABY and pour heart out.

If we win Thursday at Philadelphia, then we will do no worse thatn 11-5. A win on a short week, on the road in the east coast, in cold weather will get so many psychological monkeys off our back that the remaining schedule will not be a problem.
Rams, Hawks, and Vikings are all but gimmes. The Patriots scare me, not just because it's another east coast game, but because they are an excellent team and Belichick get's them prepared for every game. Plus they don't lose often at home to anybody!
I have been accused of defeatism on this board more than once. However, I too am encouraged at this point, and am REALLY hoping for 11-5. Actually, I was hoping for 11-5 last season as well; we all know how THAT turned out.
Do I think the Cards will be SB Champs this year? Probably not. Do I WANT them to be? Of COURSE!
As much cautiousness (is that right?) as I've had, I am really excited - this is the closest to a complete team as I've seen in my 39 years of following this franchise.
