If we can only land one big name Free Agent...
Who is your pick?
I want a CB & an OLB. I would be happy with any combo but Asante Samuels is the guy I really want...

Samuels.
I think it's much easier to find a solid LB in the draft than a shutdown corner. I like Briggs a lot though so I would be happy with either one.

Briggs is a no brainer. I think I might like Asante a bit more than Clements though.

I really, REALLY like Thomas, but CB is a pressing need at this point.

samuels would be great, he is my #1, but following close behind is a dominant OT

As a resident of baltimore and a raven's season ticket holder i can personally say i have seen more of Adalius that most. I love his hard work, energy, hard nosed style and relentlessness. But you have to look at the situation he is in. The Cards dont have two other linebackers like lewis and scott or a d-line that can pressure the qb and stuff the run by themselves. Last but not least, sure i will take wilson as an equall to ed reed but rolle is no mcallister (not yet anyway) and no one else in arizona's secondary could even make the team in baltimore. You gotta look at this stuff.

We absolutely need a tackling machine at WLB, with the ability to put pressure on the QB. This in itself makes our CB's better... thus, it's the more important need. 1) BRIGGS - 2) A. Thomas - 3) C. June

Adalius Thomas. If Berry stays healthy for a whole year we could wind up with a nice pass rush.

I think CB is a MUCH bigger need. Rolle has been BAD, Green has played pretty good, but in not a #1 yet.
LB's are alot easier to find then a good cover corner.
Asante Samuel IMO IS the guy they need to flat out sign & overpay to get it done. Adding a guy like that with SB ring will let this D turn the corner.

Thomas would give us more versatility in our defense and Briggs would benefit us more if we wanted to play a straight up defense. I believe that our cornerbacks will improve as we are able to establish more of a pass rush. In the end I see us able to either draft or sign a capable WLB easier than a CB so I would venture to say that Samual might be the best fit. He has played on a good defense, shown that he can make plays and seems a fit to want to win. Clements might have more skill but I feel that he might be more complacent and won't improve our whole secondary as much. Right now I really wish we would have signed Ty Law last year.

I think you underestimate how weak our WLB play was, and its affect on how the right side of our D had to adjust... but I'd be happy with the addition of a quality cornerback, although I never support overpaying.

Don't overpay for corners. Being able to generate a more fierce pass rush will make both Rolle and Green look a lot better. Both are good tacklers....maybe we should look at adding the safeties to start playing a Tampa 2.
