My hat is off to you guys. Maybe I just took this loss harder than I should.
I was just like Whiz, I was sure we were going to win that game.
I found myself growling as I was forced to watch replay after replay of Steve Smith highlights. Growling! Those highlights should have been of Q and his MONSTER come-back game.
For the last couple of days...I have barely been able to read the threads that have posted in analysis, review, and complaint.
If I see another Steve Smith highlight, I think I will hurl.

After years of totally inept Cardinal performances I just can't get upset with a loss like this. They were in the game until the end. Now with a win at St.Louis, which they have accomplished 3 years in a row, and holding serve at home against SF on Monday night we go into Seattle at 6-3, most likely with a two game lead in the division, maybe even three over the Seahawks.
As a Cardinal fan how could you be mad about that?

For the first time in a long, long, long time, we played like a true-to-life football team on the road against a tough opponent. We just happened to lose.
I can't get gutwrenched over that. We are competitive. Our team is actually good. They make boneheaded mistakes and tackle like 8 year olds sometimes, but overall, they are a good team. Not great, but good.

Not too upset about losing this game this year, though I thought we would win. Close game to a top 10 team on the road. I DO expect us to win a similar contest like this next season (we're soooooo close)......

its how we lost that has me worried about our success on the road. Poor tackling has led to big plays in a number of games. it is a trend. Our inablility to run the ball. We have a lot of road games left. Thinking that because we played Carolina tough doesn't mean that we will win on the road against seemingly lesser teams (Rams, Seahawks).
