Hypothetically, were Leinart to drop...
Say the Titans decide to pick Vince Young, and the Jets, with Ramsey in the fold, decide to pull the trigger on a different player. As he passes that 5, and 6 pick, would you trade forward to pick up a guy like him? Or, do you think the Cardinals front office would consider it themselves?
I'm just wondering, since a lot of people are pegging Young to be our pick, but by some kind of miracle, we could be in position to draft a guy like Lienart. I know Denny doesn't move up, but there's a first time for everything.
Oh, and don't get me wrong, I think he's all but a lock to go by #3. Just discussing possibilities.

Well, from everything I have read I think it is highly unlikely he slips that far. As I think the Jets and Titans will be slobbering all over themselves to draft him if the chance presented itself.
But, I would be all over Lienart if he started to fall. Too much value to pass up.

There is pleanty of good options at ten. It wouldnt make sence to give up picks to draft a QB that is gunna sit on the bench for us.

If that were to happen and he starts to slide much past 3 somebody will be willing to trade up for him well before he gets to 10.

That was kind of my point. I was wondering if we'd consider trading up ourselves. Baltimore/St. Louis would probably want to jump up, but at 10, the Cardinals would be a more attractive spot for a team to move down.

No way. I would like to draft a QB in the 1st, but I don't want to trade up to do it...not for Young, not for Cutler, and especially not for Leinart.

I think we are in a good spot to add 2-4 quality players this draft, including 2-3 that contribute right away. I wouldn't trade one of them to nab Leinart
