get out of the press box and down on the field already. If he is teaching such a complex system in his mind and if that is a possible factor (one of many though) in why this defense is having problems- get on the field where you can directly talk with your players and teach and be more accountable than hiding out behind that plate of glass far away
It just seems like the obvious thing to do. Players having a problem with his defense...and he is in the booth. There is something wrong with that...right? If he wants to implement his new system regardless of the results so far, fine but he can't teach in the box. He coached the secondary before and his secondary has two young corners, he needs to give them the ease of open conversation on the sidelines. If they ever click to it, then he can gladly go back to the press box.
