great article about the difficulties Edge has been through this summer
I wish Edge nothing but the best. Under all that bravado is a classy guy with a lot of character IMO.

That was a good article. You're right, Edge has been miscast as a selfish player. Everything his teammates say and coaches say are that he's a positive hard working player.
Some people seem to think that because he's chasing records that he's selfish. I really don't get that.
I wish him well and hope he passes some more greats on the list, just not against us...

He is definitely selfish. His actions show that regardless of how well he gets along with teamates or how hard he works.
Classy people don't make the snide remarks he made toward this organization when they leave. That was a complete lack of class.

I hope that Edge is able to find comfort in the fact that Wilson is no longer hurting. The stand that he took with the kids and their first day of school speaks volumes for his carachter. I hope that he is able to find happiness in his new job with the Hawks.

Cool story. Edge is a paradox. Selfish and proud, but also caring and humble and sometimes all at the same time.
Good luck to Edge. He seems to me to be a guy who just gets the big picture and thats pretty cool considering he came from a horrible neighborhood and could have gone the wrong way very easily. I've always appreciated the fact that Edge doesn't forget where he came from. People see Edge (especially early in the career with the gold teeth and dreadlocks) and they see a punk from the hood. In reality, Edge is a tremendously intelligent guy who knows exactly where he is going. He has a brother who is a medical doctor and that brother said that Edge is the smartest guy in the family.
I'm not a fan of Edge's comments about the Cardinals, however. We all have flaws and I think Edge really struggles when he is not the man. In alot of ways, he is very similar to Kurt Warner in that way. For all of Kurt's positive attributes, I really think Kurt struggles when he isn't the alpha dog. Kurt will say the right things when he is 2nd string, but deep inside its tearing him up. I think the same applies to Edge. He has always been the man on the field, and its been humbling for him to lose some of that talent.

NIce article. Terrible family loss and my heart goes out to the family. Comments about last year being a bad (expletive) nightmare and wanting to be in a different system three years ago are lame and selfish. He's been part of one of the best offensives in the league and went to the friggin S.B.!

Edge didn't play in yesterday's game vs. the Chiefs, although he did dress and warm-up. Here's the only photo I could find.

He threw our jersey IN THE TRASH.
All players want to to be cast as the humanitarian... And look like they are here to help others. The dude is a selfish jerk....
Great people don't act like petulant children.
He is dead to me.

And yet you repeatedly defend Thomas Jones, who admitted that he didn't even give 100% when he was here.

I dont defend him. I call him what he is a good RB who didn't get a fair shake while here. Could you find a quote form TJ saying that?

Football has been very good to him. He should be thankful he doesn't have to endure the difficulties of the regular guy.

The mother of his children and longtime girlfriend died. I'd rather have my life with my family alive and healthy than his life which now has a gaping hole in it.
