Why bother with the safety experiment? It's silly.

This is a good move wih no downside. Lord is a good athlete without the whiny ego of Crouch.

Ohio State fans, help me out. About 25 years ago the Colts turned an Ohio St. QB into an all-pro safety. What is his name?

I'll bet it wasn't Art Schleister.

Heh, if he ever orders someone around, he can tell them, "thus saith the Lord."

I don't know where they plan to play him, but he showed me some skill at RB. Ran a bit upright like Eric Dickerson, but he has that weird kind of "heat shield" that seems to magically repel tacklers despite not appearing to be doing anything particularly special.

I think he can play in this league.

Nolan Cromwell made the change, as did Scott Frost. Tell me that Hines Ward couldn't have played safety. Lord is big, strong and pretty fast. He's able to see the field, and seems to enjoy the game of football, just don't ask him to pass. He's obviously going to be a project and will likely end up in Europe or developmental squad if he makes the team.

Great memory, Lars. Nolan Cromwell was the guy I was thinking about. And I'll bet Lord makes the 53 man roster this year. He's a phenomenal athlete.

Yay, another Nebraska flop graces the NFL field for their token Training Camp and out. I can't wait to see it.
