Game balls.
Kurt, Fitz, Q, Arrington somebody on the o-line, Rackers, DCR, Wilson, D-line.
Turk: Pope and anybody on this team called a TE. Dirk Johnson if he wasn't the holder for Rackers.

The whole team gets a game ball based on winning in Seattle for the 1st time in 5 years. As the team motto says, "WE DO THIS TOGETHER"!!!
You know what? I concur. But not for Pope!

I have really been down on Ralph Brown being on the field at all but he really did step it up today. Same for Rolle and I have to say I thought he was about to be officially labeled a bust. He is really improving.

With Pope it is not just the penalties but he can't do a damn thing after catching the ball. Small DB's flatten him. About all we have at TE is Patrick.
And our punt returns are non-existent also. We always seem to start deep in our own end, or the other team's punter kicks the ball deep into our end-zone with no possibility of returning the ball.

Goods: Boldin and Fitzgerald continue to dominate. Arrington makes the most of limited carries. Rackers made field goals that turned out to be the difference in the game.
Bad: Boldin's looking pretty slow out there, which worries me and going out of bounds in the 4th quarter was just bad. Dansby's leaving the endzone was ill-advised but his fumble was a killer. The offensive line continued to struggle and can't be counted on in the clutch. The defensive pass rush is wildy inconsistant.
Something isn't connecting in the running game and most times the defense beats the outside blockers before the seal.
I want to see the cutback runs tried more in the next few games.

I can see a sliver of light in this situation. The good news is that the rest of the offense is hitting on all cylinders, so the coaches are certain to identify the problem run game. This sounds elementary, but in the past the offenses had broken down on so many levels that it was tough to say what was working and what was just getting sucked into the cluster.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see advances in the run game by the playoffs. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a 1st round RB next year.

You may be right, to go deep in the playoffs the team has to have a dual threat.
I still think the problem is with the block though, not with the running.
Bad: Dirk Johnson and the tight ends. As Brian Baldinger said during the telecast, if you are Leonard Pope you have to bowl these little DBs over. He is totally worthless after the catch and add his false starts and you have a less than adequate tight end IMO.
But on to the good, a superb game from #4 CB Ralph Brown. DRC shines with two picks and tight coverage. Great games from most of the defense, including Chike Okeafor, Darnell Dockett, Karlos Dansby and Adrian Wilson.
And what can you say about Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. It's gonna be nice seeing Larry, Q, and Kurt in Honolulu in February.

Goods: Hayes was a strong factor in the run defense. In fact the entire D played great against the run today.
I hope this was a "Bad" Kurt showing today. What I mean is that he wasn't lights out due to the Interception and Fumble. If today was a "poor" game for Kurt then watch out NFL.

Interception was understandable, but the fumble was bad. He had Tim Hightower wide open on the right sideline. We get making little mistakes like Fitz' fumble that was redeemed by Q and Karlos taking the INT. out of the end zone.
Give the Seahawks credit, they played one of their best games of the year IMO. It just shows how far the Cardinals have come that they could take the opponent's best shot and still prevail in a very hostile environment.
Now let's beat the 'real bullies' next Sunday!
