Interception was understandable, but the fumble was bad. He had Tim Hightower wide open on the right sideline. We get making little mistakes like Fitz' fumble that was redeemed by Q and Karlos taking the INT. out of the end zone.
I wouldn't agree that Fitz fumbling and Dansby trying to run out an interception and then fumbling "understandable".

I remember when we drafted Pope, I thought to myself. OMG we have a Novacek/Gates on our team now....what an utter disappointment he has been since then

Every player fumbles at some point in a season but you are correct Fitz shouldn't have coughed that one up.

My take on the Dansby "blunder" was that he made a break on the ball which had him heading towards the QB and out of the endzone. He could and should have stopped himself from attempting the return but it wouldn't have been easy.

It certainly all comes down to the situation and in both of these cases, I think it comes down to player error and not good plays by the defense. Fitz was not protecting the ball at all and was very fortunate Q was there to save the play. Dansby said that his play was selfish so I assume that he thinks he should have just downed it.

I agree that no player should be expected to never fumble but in particular, these plays weren't understandable to me.

Warner was getting a little lax in his protection of the ball, resulting in similar errors like last year and Fitz did the same, fumbling on a hit from behind like last year. These guys need to reset and get back to how well they've been doing things for most of this year.

I had to listen to the game on Sirius as I was traveling yesterday. Wolfley made a comment about how poorly Lutui was playing-just getting beaten all day. Also said when Spach commited a stupid penalty..'Beam me up, Scotty' was his quickest way off the roster.

It's probably to safe to say that the Cardinals will be drafting a tight end in the first three rounds next offseason. Leonard Pope is an RFA in the offseason and they'll either tender him at the lowest possible, e.g. get a third if someone signs him, or not even tender him at all. He did throw a decent block on Q's long catch and run along the near sideline though.
