Gambo: "I've decided that I've seen this act before..."
Hey Gambo. We've seen your act before. It's old.

I agree! I am more than a little tired of hearing so called "sports personalities" pop-off with their negative slants. It's like a purpose-pitch in baseball. These guys think that they will sell more newspapers by doing everything possible to bad-mouth the local franchises and piss-off the local fanbase.

Sure, it gets their name a little more well known, but it's the same thing that's been said before. Why bother?

Oh, one more thing...these are the same guys (Gambo/Gomez) that fall over themselves to include themselves in any sort of bandwagon when it comes along, but also the first to critisize it when the wheels come off of the wagon.

Case in point: Gambo/Gomez drooling over what a great move it was to draft Wadsworth, only to call for his head 2 years later...saying that it was yet another 1st round blunder by the idiotic Cardinals front office!

These guys know less than anyone one of us on this board do!

What a joke!

This idiot doesn't deserve a response but unfortunately I can never keep my mouth shut when it comes to monkey-boy, if this guy had a brain he would truly be dangerous! It is important to keep in mind that the only reason he is on the radio is because he generates a reaction, how many people would listen to "nice guy" Asher all day long if it were not for monkey-boy spewing dumbass comments? The reason monkey-boy is an idiot isn't because this stuff comes out of his mouth, it's because he actually believes what he's saying! Monkey-boy MIGHT know a little bit about boxing and hockey but he really should stay away from everything else.

Well Gambo continues to be a dork. I really hope the Cards have a running list of these guys and when they do win, And Gambo is desperate to get inside for a story, They tell him access deny'd. I bet his closet is lined with jersey's in order of the latest fad teams. Probably has a GB jersey, Broncos, Rams and all are retired in favor of his new Bucs attire. I just hope his dribble is remembered when things turn around.

Gambo: "And let's make one thing clear while we are being completely honest. Not one of the seven players who signed with the Cardinals came here to win. Not one. Why? Because there is not one player in the NFL who would ever come here to win. Not one."

Okay a$$hole, I guess we should just fold up the franchise and quit, right? Just throw in the towel.

I would love to know what this moron would propose the Cardinals do. On second thought, I don't give a damn what he thinks.

I would have to disagree on one point...everything in Gambo's closet is New York, every last stinking bit of sports apparel...Jets, Giants, Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers...I'd pay real money if he'd shut up when it came to those teams...

Kind of like how Bickley has a bunch of Chi-town jerseys in his closet with "Better than AZ" sewn into the back!

I wish Gomez would take Gambo and Bickley with him - out the door!

At least Bickley will give out a "pat on the back" from time-to-time...

"Now I believe that many of you are smart enough to realize that and are not buying into the recent hype. But for the rest of you who now think the Cardinals have turned the corner, let's be completely honest with each other. What have they really done?"

"They have added a below-average quarterback,"

When has Jeff Blake ever been "below-average"? Even last year, one of his worst years as a starter, he was average.

"an aging former superstar running back on the decline,

He might be aging and on the decline, but he won't carry the full load and never bet against the greatest runner ever.

"and a safety whom nobody ever heard of before the Super Bowl."

Well Gambo, someone like you who doesn't know crap about football wouldn't know him, but people who watch the game do. I've watched Dexter Jackson since he was at Florida State and he is a very talented athlete.

"They also have brought in some backup/depth guys at linebacker and on the offensive line along with a pretty good fullback."

This statement is fine....a first in this ridiculous diatribe.

"But they are little if any better right now then they were last season. They still have not addressed their major two priorities, getting someone who can rush the passer and someone who can be a big-play receiver."

Yes and No. Depth is better, Special teams are better, Qb is better, and the secondary is better. Receivers, no, even though losing Mar Tay and Frank isn't really a problem. The Pass rush is in the process of being addressed.

Overall a very weak article with very little insight, and no real creativity.

On the season Saermengsi-ball hit rate reached 30%. He was in flames and Jones made a three-year teammate, Jones said that the organizers he pitches, but he can also shooting. His shooting is deceptive.

as "weak" as it may have been, i agree with a ton of what he had to say. i agree he's generally an idiot, but the offseason love fest is better summed up in his article than by a lot of the rose-colored glasses-wearing folks on this board.

i agree with him, blake's better than jake. unfortunately blake is average AT BEST. hell, i'm just stoked to watch someone with the hopes that he's average!

dexter jackson is a good athlete, but until he proves his worth outside of the bucs D, he could very well be larry brown.

emmitt was all pr. benching our best (remaining) asset (shipp) for an old man is ludicrous.

God, you're a breath of fresh air, PHXSPORTS. I read the article, and thought that while the tone was a little demeaning, the substance was pretty much right on. I think the Smith and Shipp are at basically the same level right now, but otherwise, right on.

And there in lies the problem with Gambo. He has so arrogant and over bearing for so long on so many topics, it is nearly impossible to get past that now.

When has Jeff Blake been below average? Give me one specific season over his 11 year starting career.....You can't, because he has been, at worst average which is better than Plummer has ever been save ONE season.

Did you ever watch Larry or Dexter Jackson? I mean are just following others comparisons or are you making your own ( creativity?) I've watched both of them and their games are not even similar, especially considering the fact that they play different positions.

How many carries, as a number 2 runningback, did Shipp have last year? How many carries were there as a team? My point is, there is plenty of carries to go around so there is more than enough to bring Smith to take the carries.

An 81 year old Emmitt is better than TJ right now (sarcasm), and we clearly needed a 2nd rb (unless you consider Anderson a good number 2).
