Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Houston Texans are close to acquiring RB Ron Dayne (Giants) from the New York Giants. A deal could be announced as early as Wednesday, March 2.

It's interesting to me that the Texans would be interested in Dayne. They've got a decent stable of backs with Davis, Hollings and Wells.

Yeah that is interesting. Maybe Capers' thinks he can tap through and unleash that potential Dayne had all those years ago. There current running backs have run pretty well behind a suspect line. Perhaps he just needs a change of scenery.
