I think there will be at least one guy that makes the 53 (or 61; PS). It's usually a special teamer that plays lights out during a Pre-season game. I think the Cards have 5 spots left, I wonder if they will bring back anybody from last year they cut, or some veterans.

PAUL VASSALLO - 6' 3", 247 lbs - Inside Linebacker.
Well the guy looks like a ILB on paper.

I wish the Cardinals had their eye on bringing in some RBs.

I agree.
Cedric Benson would be my pick. Beanie's durability, or lack thereof, scares me. Ryan, while explosive, is coming off of a damn serious injury.
Add that to the fact that the Niners hit like a ton of bricks, and we face the Bears, Lions, and Pats as well... an insurance back would be wise.

The Cardinals are counting on Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams to carry the load. Hyphen showed that he could carry the ball for one game, but he needs to get into better shape. He wears down to easy. I do expect the Cardinals to bring in one veteran RB. I am thinking they may bring back Chester Taylor because they are familiar with one another.

Don't forget Alfonso Smith - he can put a dent in the pile.

Don't think too long on this....Taylor will not be back. There are better options with FA's, should we even go this route. I believe that A. Smith is a "hidden gem" and that if needed this year, he will surprise.

Love Smith.
His running style is unique. No cut, and straight up the field.
If the guy ever breaks one, he is gone.

I just looked and there are a bunch of veteran RB's that could be brought in for insurance/3rd RB. Grant, Sammy Morris, Jerious Norwood, Thomas Jones, Addai, Clarett, Ronnie Brown, Jacki Battle, Maurice Morris, Cadillac, even Hightower among others.

Decent list of players. I wouldn't be disappointed if the Cardinals tried to sign Ronnie Brown or the return of Thomas Jones.

I'm comfortable with the stable of backs we have right now. If someone goes down at some point, one would have to think Hightower would be a sensible choice to return, but I'd prefer we don't bring in a veteran back until absolutely necessary.

I don't see Thomas Jones returning. When the Cards bring back a player they like to do it 3 or 4 times. Like Nate Poole and Pago Togafau.
