When Anquan Boldin joined the team in 2003, he was stunned at the lack of fan interest. Only 23,127 folks turned out for the home opener which the Cardinals lost 38-0 to Seattle. "I was shocked," said Boldin, who played before sellout crowds every week at Florida State. "It looked like a scrimmage."

I've told people for years that the lack of fan support was a major problem in Arizona. But it was hard for fans to understand the negative effect the empty seats had on our players. It was especially acute from 2000-2005.
The Cowboys win was of great import not because the Cards beat the Cowboys but because, finally, they won a game the way they normally lose.
Unfortunately once we finally did get fan support the Cards resurrected the Cardinals of old (60s-80s) very competitive teams that found some way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The losses of 2006-07 were almost worse than the blowouts of previous years because they were so gut wrenching.
The last two Sundays appear to have sent both of those albatrosses packing. We only have one left. Road woes.
