I'll explain.
Leinart is the franchise QB because he has potential, he has time to learn the offense, and learn how to become a QB in the league. Leinart is still young, and is learning how to be a profressional with the help of Whiz and Warner.
Any talk of Leinart being a bust, or of trading Leinart is foolish in my opinion. I don't see where that would be a smart move. Warner is old, he is playing great right now, but he is old. He might retire, get hurt, or just start to wane.
With the potential that Leinart has it is a small risk to think of him as our QOF. I know many disagree. Many want to trade Leinart, and hang there hopes on Warner, and have Brian "3rd string for life" St.Pierre back this team up.
It is ridiculous. With only 16 games to his credit Leinart has a lot left, a WHOLE lot.
