Thanks to ESPNU and TIVO I am breaking down tape on most of our draft picks from games in 2004.
Elton Brown is going to be pretty good, IMO. He will start at RG day 1 and I really don't understand him lasting until rd 4.
Blackstock has not impressed me at all. I just finished watching the Florida State game (Big E made Travis Johnson dissapear) and Blackstock didn't make a single play. His best effort comes at rush DE but at OLB, he is easily blocked one on one and is either not in position or easliy moved out.
I don't see the "LT" references at all and I hope this was a one game let down...I will continue to break down the games.
I watched Michigan vs Michigan St. and besides this being a terrific football game...I keyed on Earnest Shazor and Gabriel Watson. I have been a fan of Watsons and he didn't dissapoint in this game either...Watson (NT) is a man among boys...I love his size and tenacity. He should be the best DT in the 2006 Draft.
Shazor didn't have a good game vs MSU. He was blocked one on one by the TE on most running plays and the MSU back gained over 200yds, many of them right past Shazor. There were no significant tackles or break-ups in the passing game either.
