Edge is still very valuable... Its still a problem with our run blocking from the O-line... Their pass blocking has been pretty stellar, but the run blocking still needs help...

When Edge has had his best games his yards have piled up in the latter part of the second half. He really hasn't had a chance to do that since game 1, and it's unlikely he will ever get 25 carries again as long as Hightower is doing what he's doing. So, I agree with you. The line has been a little shoddy on run blocking. The right side in particular.

That said, Edge should've been in on the third down play where Ware sacked Warner late in the game. It looked like Hightower should've picked up Ware, but ran right past him. Even if he was going out on a route, he at least needed to chip him.
Not so, aj. Whisenhunt said in his Monday presser the call was for a naked bootleg with Warner instructed to just take the sack, not even risking a throw, if the cowslime were not fooled and Hightower not wide open.

A very safe play with a huge upside.

When Edge takes the ball going forward he always seems to pick up positive yards and fall forward.
On more than 1 occasion yesterday we had 2nd and short and Edge ripped off a 6 or 7 yard run. He has a place on this team.
Thunder and Lightning.
The Power and the Tower.
Edge will keep Hightower fresh.

no play where Kurt is running with the football is a "very safe play" IMO.
