I also wonder why we never heard of him being missing/unexcused for the only bye week practice. That is unacceptable. I notice nashman doesnt comment on thing like that. He probably thinks because its Edge that its ok.

With the reports that are coming out, are there anyone that agreed with this statement changing their mind? Just curious.
No. His teammates are still supporting him. I saw Warner talk about it on the news last night.

But we have the playoffs to reach (maybe even further) and - given the way pro football tends to physically chew up its RB's - we're going to need the added depth and muscle Edge gives us.
I'm just guessing, but - coming off what figures to be a physically tough contest against the Giants and then traveling to cold, windy Philly 4 days later - we may see a lot of Edgerrin James when we play against the Eagles Thanksgiving night.
Midway thru the season, team needs must trump player needs.
Those are my thoughts as well. Moreso in Philly than this weekend against the Giants. Against the Jim Johnson's crazy D, edge will be particularly valuable to Warner's well-being.

Makes you wonder why they would support someone who either doesn't want to show up, or told no one why they showed up.
I was ok with Edge doing his own thing during the offseason for training as he has always been in good shape. Missing a practice after a bye week unexcused is inexcusable.
Furthermore, KW won't say anything but the right thing because he has too much class.

I don't know. But, I do think they know the guy a lot better than either you or I do.

Cheese to be fair I NEVER said Edge was in his prime wise guy. I said Edge is still the best RB on the team and umm so far I haven't been proven wrong TH still has a lower YPC than Edge. IMO a back like Edge is good for this offense to keep the chains moving. TH has yet to impress since his starting so you have to keep Edge because the rookie may be sitting real soon with his past few performances. Still a questionable decision by Whiz if you ask me to sit a proven 1200 yrd back for our team behind our line to start an unproven kid, well it worked against the Rams and thats about it, 1 out of 3 against bad teams hmmm....questionable.
the fact that you keep saying PROVEN leads me to believe he's still the same back he was, which leads me to believe you think he's still in his prime. Proven is immaterial considering he proved this year he wasn't what he was.

what was it about Edge THIS SEASON that makes you think... ah forget it. you never answer anyone who points out how pathetic Edge was since the first game of the season so I won't expect you to answer anything regarding it now.

Whatever Proven means he has proven he gets it done period, may not be pretty but he has gotten it done here back to back 1200 for this team behind this line? You are entitled to your own opinion and mine is you don't bench a guy who has grinded it out for this team to start a rookie. Sorry the offense doesn't look better the last three games than it did the prior 10 even going back to last season. TH has show me nothing but a few good runs in 3 games and a bunch of losses or no gains, I don't believe he is ready to be an everydown back yet, IMO. You don't have to agree but you don't have to harp all over me because I am not all giddy about an average TH.
Cheese get off your high horse the offense was the highest scoring in the league most of this season, correct? Since TH has started whats happened? You see it your way as the right way, sorry disagree the offense looked way more fluid and scored more with Edge and with our D we need points.
Of course no team mate is going to say anything negative about him to the media. It's all double-speak and cliches because what happens in the locker room, stays in the locker room. But I have to question why he got into Whiz's doghouse. Everything Whiz has done this season is try to get everyone on the same page and put the team first.
Draw your own conclusions.
