Dish Network & Cardinals Games

So - I'm an out of stater (In WA) and have a buddy that has Dish network. I know that they don't offer NFL Ticket on Dish (DirectTV only), but I was wondering this:

If my buddy subscribes to the Fox Sports AZ package (which he has done) - can I get the Cardinals games? Would they be blacked out? Does anyone have similar experience with this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Nope, Cards games are not going to be on FSNAZ. You need to get DirectV

The preseason games will not be on Direct TV or Fox anything. All games will be on AZTV based out of Phoenix.

Due to the extremely unfortunate late start of the NFL Channel, Direct TV subscribers will not be able to tune in.

AZTV is channel is on over the air on Channel 27 in most parts of the valley and Channel 13 on most Cox Cable systems. Many of you with Direct TV or without cable will have to dust off those rabbit ears.

For the AZTV Channel finder, follow this link:

Are you saying that because of the NFL Network we cannot get AZTV? Thus, we are doing the ears for the preseason?

I am saying that the games will be on AZTV only and they wont be on Fox or Direct TV.

They would have been on the NFL Channel via Direct TV if they would have launched the NFL Channel on time. They didn't do that so people with Direct TV will be shut out this preseason.

People in most parts of Arizona who have Direct TV can simply disconnect it and watch AZTV on regular TV.

If you have Cox cable, AZTV is carried.

If you don't know where to find AZTV in your area, please refer to the Channel Finder posted above.

Nidan...I am not sure on Qwest cable. I would call your company or refer to your channel guide to see if it is carried. You still can always disconnect your cable and watch it on regular TV.

Suggest some sort of sticky. Every time we spell out what the deal is, a week goes by and someone new repeats the same questions.

Down & Dirty Recap:

1. Preseason games will be on AZTV (a local UHF station). As of this date - they will not be aired anywhere else.

2. Original deal was to air all NFL preseason games on a new NFL Channel (and not FoxSportsNet - including FoxSportsAZ), but the new channel's launch was delayed leaving DirecTV viewers OF ANY TEAM without a vehicle for watching out of market preseason games.

3. If you want to watch out of market regular season games in your home, the only way to view them is via Sunday Ticket on DirecTV
