Defense

Clancy gets bashed a lot here - Cards had a great D scheme today and super effort. Kudos to all, but especially the D; Smith, Dockett, Dansby, Hodd, yadda, yadda, yadda. . .

I totally agree...today Pendy's preparation was excellent. It's not his fault that Crayton's TD was a blown cobverage, compounded by awful tackling...or that a swing pass to Barber goes 70 yards versus a zone defense.

Pendy deserves a game ball...this was far better, more aggressive defense on all aspects than we've seen from him, ever.

I agree. The two long TD's were more execution issues. Hats off to Pendy. I don't like the guy but his defense was ready to play today.

On the 70 yd td, there was a blatant hold on Berry. I must have watched it 10 times on replay.

I sure don't think we will see any Clancy bashing ...for at least the next 2 weeks!

I have to....definitely agree today. Our guys showed up to play with heart and intensity today, and I think it is glaringly obvious now that our defensive players don't always bring their best, and that it is on their own heads when they don't.

All good points. Maybe our coaches and players learned how to win yesterday. Now lets keep the "MO" rolling, all the way to the playoffs.

The Crayton one was a blown coverage. I think Rolle just went the wrong way. If it wasn't Rolle's fault the guy behind him also went the same direction leaving Crayton wide open in the middle of the field I think it was Francsico.

The swing pass 1st was an incomplete tackle by AW. Everyone else was just sloppy. Many people had angles and were in position but didn't get their body positions right and failed to even push him out of bounds. Rolle easily could have tackled him around the 10yard line. Rolle had the space (no blockers), angle, but I think got his hips turn wrong.
