Culpepper Upset At How Eagles Fans Treated Wife

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper wasn't too happy about the way the Philadelphia Eagles treated him and his teammates in their 27-14 loss in Philadelphia last Sunday.

But he was even more upset about the way Philly fans treated his wife.

He and some other Vikings said some Eagles fans harassed their relatives as they watched their loved ones lose at Lincoln Financial Field.

Culpepper said he doesn't mind fans booing but he draws the line at "throwing stuff and spitting on people."

He said if he had been in the stands to see what happened, "Somebody definitely would've gotten hurt."

Eagles fans are worthless pieces of trash, this isn't news. And no Eagle fans, you aren't tough.

People with no class in Philadelphia? Doesn't surprise me, what a waste of space for those fans to turn on the opposing players' families .

that's philly .... they should of gotten a suite or put some security around them ... you know what is going to happen in advance

this stuff happens a lot of places though ... this year in Houston someone dumped a beer on David Carrs wife

a lot of stupid, trashy crap happens at football games ... really should be cleaned up for fans of both teams that are playing

but so much is tolerated that the line keeps getting pushed more and more

a lot of false pride built up in the actions of others and alcohol lead to bad things

I used to live in philly, went to many games as an opposing fan for the other 3 sports and took my fair share of crap ... i expect people to talk ... just don't get violent and have a mob mentality ... eagles games were nuts, w/70k in the Vet and at least 5k of them belligerent drunks, you knew a problem would happen

at least they didn't piss on her

They might get past Atlanta, but nobody and I mean NOBODY is going to beat New England.

This reminds me of '02 when the Titans had to travel to Oakland for the AFC championship, and all of the family and travelling fans were all kept in the same section surrounded by security. Oak and Philly fans have both got to be the worse in the league.

When Philly comes here next year, I hope we SPANK the sh1t out of 'em

SEZ will be going nuts all over T.O that day

No excuse for mistreating someone's wife. I would just like to know if there was a luxury box available for her to sit in? Wouldn't that solve the problem?

I remember the Monday night opener a few years ago where eagle fans (and lord knows there needs to be a word created to reach the lowest levels of humanity that some of these "fans" reach) were razzing Joe Jurevicious about his child's recent death. Just plain awful.

I do believe

there is. But most times, unless someone gets injured, they won't travel back in pursuit of charges so the perp usually gets off with a misdemeanor. It's be nice to see some of the yahoos really take a hit for their drunken stupidity.
And yes, I've even seen Cardinal fans that I would like to have seen locked up on the spot.

Did she wear a sign on her forehead that said "Dante Culpepper's wife" ...??

I'd recognize his momma, but not his wife.

Personally, he should have known what to expect, especially if she's that easy to identify. He should have found her a safer seat or had her cover up a little better.

Agreed.

Philly fans are absolutely the worst. It is like a pack of barbarians. I call Culpepper stupid for putting anyone in a Vikings jersey, and sitting them down in the crowd. Is it right that Philly fans act this way?, NO......but it is fact that they act this way.

Just ask Michael Irvin how bad the Philly fans are.

BTW - I have gone to the vet in full Cards gear, and survived. Show it loud and proud.

I am a survivor, as well.

I find that fans of other Philly sports teams (76ers, Phillies, Flyers) aren't nearly as bad as Eagles fans. I was at the Vet when (I think it was) Walz who broke his leg. Some jackarse sitting next to me kept screaming "Scrape him off the field." He was a total scumbag and, not surprisingly, a drunk.

Eagles fans are the worst and even the Eagles fans I know will tell you so. Many think they know everything and take it extremely personally when the Eagles lose. I don't know what it is.

I know a lot of Eagles fans who aren't scumbags ... my dad, brother, uncle and lots of my cousins and friends. I'm rooting for the Eagles this year for them, but it is very hard to do so because I would really hate for the scumbag fans to have a reason to celebrate.

BTW, I agree with BIM. Culpepper should have known better. C'mon, man. How long have you been in the NFL? You didn't know about this situation? Yeah, the behavior was completely wrong and outta line, but the best offense is a good defense.

LOL that doesnt mean anything. I have been there in full cards gear over a half a dozen times. The philly fans leave the cardinals fans alone out of pity. I get more "Aw shucks man, I hope you guys do well thsi year. I always root a little for the cards. Its just such a sad story man you've gotta pull for the" then any negative response. lol

Now where cowboys gear and try to survive!
