Common theme among the Final Four?

Duel runningback systems

Indy: Rhodes / Addai
NE: Dillon / Mulroney
Chicago: Jones / Benson
Saints: Bush / McAllister

There isn't a complete 1:1 balance in terms of carries, but each team features 2 backs in different formations. This differs from other teams that only use their backup runningbacks to make a short yardage 3rd down or give the #1 guy a breather.

This trend started in college and has moved on to the pros. With that said, as much as I think there are other needs, I think the Cards should draft Peterson

Great minds think alike.

Indy - Addai/Rhodes

While I agree that we have some other major holes, if AP falls to us and we have him ranked #1 on our board and Joe Thomas is gone, I think we could do alot worse than to pick him.

No thanks. There will be plenty of options in the 2nd round at RB (Bush, Pittman, Irons), especially when it means passing on the likes of Joe Thomas, Jamaal Anderson, Reggie Nelson........

The Cards had been doing that for years. In fact last year was the first time this century that they haven't had a RBC setup.

'00 Jones 112 Pittman 184
'01 Jones 112 Pittman 241
'02 Jones 138 Shipp 188
'03 Smith 90 Shipp 228
'04 Smith 267 Others (Croom,Hambrick,Scobey...) 149
'05 JJ 112 Shipp 157
