Chad Johnson looking to legally change his name to "Ocho Cinco"

Quote:
Chad Johnson is reportedly taking steps to legally change his last name to Ocho Cinco.
So ridiculous it's inspired or a desperate plea for attention? We're leaning towards the former if this move results in the NFL being forced to allow OCHO CINCO jerseys to be sold. Johnson's act has long worn thin for many, including his coaches, but we admire the persistence.

I think he suffered a complete nervous breakdown, actually dating back to the playoff loss in January of 06. I'm not kidding. The guy needs help.

this is funny but sad at the same time.

He's been acting weird for a while now...the blond mohawk; pretending to be knocked out; leaving for IVs all the time; the celebrations getting more and more histrionic; the development of an alter ego (Ocho Cinco acts completely different than the old Chad did); demanding a trade; insulting fans and teammates; now legally changing his name?

the guy has gone beyond trying to entertain. he is living in a delusion.

If I was the Bengals, right after his name is legally changed.. I trade him to a team that has an 85 on their roster that wouldn't give it up unless paid a King's ransom.

I think it's funny but he's a sideshow and so is that whole team so I don't really care.

The actual story is from Pro Football Talk though so I'm not sure how reliable it is, especially since there are no links in their story.

I think it is pretty funny too. I am more of the "live and let live" type though I guess. He doesn't have a wife or kids or anything, so what does he care?? I say make it happen. Ocho Cinco jerseys would be hilarious.

I think he does have some kids, but they live with their mothers. I'm not positive about that but I'm about 75% sure.

WHo cares? It's always about him. He is a T.O wannabe. He should change his name to Mucho Loco.
