Cards Reduce Bradley's 2012 Salary

A source confirmed the Cardinals reduced LB Stewart Bradley's base salary from $5 M to $2.5 M this season.
Not sure if this was a restructure or a pay-cut. I hope it was the latter. Either way, it looks like we have a little bit of breathing room under the cap now.

Edit: It looks like it was an actual pay reduction. Excellent news.

Cut in pay. RT @magould10: @caplannfl As in he took a pay cut or as in they restructured his contract?

Interesting especially when you add in that the Cards also restructured Sendlein's contract to make it more cap friendly. Looks like they'll be back at Free Agency after the draft.

Maybe they're stockpiling money to sign Bryant Johnson and Leonard Davis.

That money is already accounted for. When the cap numbers come out prior to free agency, they include all tenders, tags and rookie pool.

Hopefully they go WR at #13 and use that money to sign who ever the best FA OT left is.

then hopefully Floyd of Blackmon are there, but I can almost assure once one is picked early, the rush will be on to claim the other and at 13 they will both be gone

I have to laugh because I checked up on some of the Free Agent Tackles still available and it seemed like everyone was called the worst Tackle in the NFL by their fans. One fan even said one OT should have been the opposing team's defensive player of the game. I even wrote that according to the fans there must be 15 worst offensive linemen in the NFL. A 15 way tie I guess.

Looks to me like the best Free Agent prospect for RT for Arizona is..........Leonard Davis. He could wear #75.5

I've already talk to Michael, he agreed #75 will never be worn again by a Cards Olineman after Levi gets axed in 2 years

Good to see. Whether we get anybody else before the season isn't my thoughts, it's just that he was way overpaid for his play, that's more reasonable. Now if there's any trades that come up in the season, we've got a little cash at least

Do you have a source on this? It doesn't make any sense. How could the NFL allocate cap room for a team like Atlanta last year who traded from the late teens into the Top 10.

Pretty sure you're wrong about this.

It was a full reduction in base salary with no signing bonus. Bradley is fine at 2.5 million
