Cards news 11/2

I was driving a friend's car this morning and had to listen to 910 (no Sirius).

Jurecki said that he and some players were surprised that the team didn't practice in pads yesterday.

Berry sat out with an achilles.

The coaching staff has reviewed all plays of every game and are looking to "go back to basics".

Eagles have a bye this week also and they got a week off with no practice in spite of losing their last three games.

Yes but now we're redoubling our back to basics in a new plan called re-basics. The team is going to start wearing Reeboks now to as part of the plan to RE do everything.

I've been doing my part as a fan. After the Green Bay game I re-gurgitated my breakfast.

Next on the list for Green: re-tire.

Lets just make it real simple.

Defense: Everybody run and tackle the person with the foootball.
Offense: Everybody should keep the other team's defensive players from tackling the person with the football.

Basically you guys have given me some good laughs this morning. More fun than watching the Cardinals. I think I will go have a latte at Starbucks. Being a Cardinal fan and a Cubs fan I am in the midst of trying to figure who sucks more?

There is some talk that a Wrigley heir who is a billionaire in Lake Forest (Chicago subburb) might lead a group to buy the Cubs from a cash strapped Tribune. They are looking to sell off the Trib in parts.

I have to say, I look less forward to the game, and more forward to reading the postings here before and after the game.
