Man... the 2 & 0 start certainly had the kool-aide flowing like never before. Yet, today the cards looked like... well..... the Cards.
1.) We still can't control the point of attack... Can't rush the QB... Can't consistently stop the run...
And on offense, we still lack enough consistency with our o-line play to be successful - particularly on the road. Lutui is now a full-fledged liability...
2.) Edge, as great as his career has been, is simply not what this team needs in order to be successful. The Cards desperately need a RB who can break a long one off in those rare instances when our o-line actually does provide the opportunity where a speed back can bust it for a long gain, if not take it to the house... Our running can't generate the sort of respect we need it to in order to take the pressure off of the passing game.
Hightower will be a great addition, but he too is not the game-breaker this team so sorely requires...
3.) Penalities... 6 more (there would have been 2 more had the Skins not declined them). I can't get over how undisciplined this team remains... Amazing.... and beyond pathetic.
4.) Rolle is a liability... I don't care what anyone else says, he simply is not a starter in this league. He's slow. Can't tackle and can't defend the pass...
5.) The entire D-line is sub-par as a unit, and individually I can't pick one player that is performing consistently well... Dockett is a big disappointment.
This team is being handed the NFC West this season...I honestly can't see them getting to 9 wins... Next week is so huge... I really can't see them coming out of The Meadowlands with a W. The Jets o-line is far superior than the SKins. Favre should have a field day...
Uggghhhh...
