Cards catch a break....
You know damned well that Kellen "Soldier" Winslow had a TD on that force out. We are so friggin' lucky to eke out a win! Put it this way, we SHOULD HAVE beat SF last week and CLE was definitely a toss up going into this week, so sitting at 1-1 (no matter how we are 1-1) after these past 2 weeks is what we could legitimately expect to be at.
With 4 games to go, we HAVE to win 3 (including against SEA) to absolutely cement a playoff spot....

haha i was yellin "where u at soldier" all day while he was consistently bitching at the refs during the game. but no, the bad calls CLEARLY evened out. braylon was clearly down, and force outs are a toss up, its not like he was clearly forced out. it was just a bunch of bodies hitting each other.

Dude, he was WITHOUT QUESTION forced out by a BIG hit from the safety (?) who came in and nailed him. Hell, KW2 got a foot down in the endzone IN SPITE OF the hit. Without the hit, it was a clean TD. Lady luck shone on the Cards today....
PS - You are damned right about Edwards. The game may not have even come down to that last play if the correct call were made....

i think braylon being down is way worse of a call, because force out is a judgement call.

I was at the game and only saw the replay on the big screen, but I did not see him a get a foot in bounds on that play. His foot came down out of bounds. Did you see something different?

He got one foot in. I think the Cards were fortunate to win because in my opinion Winslow gets both feet in if he is not pushed. By the way, he should of never been in that position to catch the ball.

His first foot was out of bounds. I was there and just watched it again. IMO it wasn't that close of a call. Now if it had been a Cadinals player I would expect it to be called out of bounds without a review. The fact that we got one in the twelth week, why not?

I re-played it about 4 times on my TIVO (in slow mo) while they were reviewing it, and I thought his first foot was out of bounds.

i think it was such a close call they wouldnt have overturn it even if it was called the other way. since you need "indisputable" evidence. the official made a snap decision that for once went the cards way

I don't think it was a force out.

I was doing the same thing.
Could the call have been made....with out a doubt, but since he didn't get at least one foot in I think that it was ruled out of bounds and not a force out. Which I agree with. I think it was the right call.

Guys, the foot I am talking about was probably 80% in (ie, one toe out) which is technically out, but his momentum was driven that way BECAUSE OF Celestin's well-timed hit. Without the oncoming hit from Celestin, KW2 is in and it's a TD. In htat respect, we caught a well-deserved break. That is all I am saying....

I'm with you. That left foot was in, and he was definitely forced out. If you look at where he was going to catch the ball, (straight back, but barely going to the sidelines) he would have stayed in bounds. I said OMG, force out when I saw the play. We really did get lucky.
The crappy Edwards TD makes up for it. There have been some really bad challenges upheld, but that one was one of the worst.
btw, a force out call is not reviewable by replay. If the ruling is that he is forced out, that is the call.

I thought he was out of bounds, but respect those who felt he was forced out.
But I thought it was pretty apparent that Holt had touched Edwards before he went down on Braylon's 67-yard TD and that the call was flat-out bogus - so these things tend to even out.
What I come away with is that the refs have way too much influence in the outcome of too many games.

We won. I think we are all in shock that the call went our way for once. I'm not apologizing for a victory.
