I finally found out why you don't like AJ Hawk:
On December 10, 2006, Hawk recorded his first NFL interception when he picked off Alex Smith during a 30–19 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Mario Williams is a super-stud, but after him went Hawk, Michael Huff (who I wanted but has been a major disappointment), Donte Whitner, Ernie Sims (who we were going to draft if #7 didn't fall to us for some reason), Ngata (super stud), Wimbley, and Broderick Bunkley.
Actually, Chad Greenway is pretty good. I was confusing him with Bobby Carpenter, who a lot on this board LOVED, but turned out to be horrible.

Wimberly is an average player IMO. If the Cards are going to pursue a OLB, why not go all in & sign Mario Williams if he's let go by the Texans? Can play 2 positions & he would give them their best pass rusher since Berrys arrival in AZ.

System failure. With us he would have been a perennial All-Star!

That is what I was going to question you about, but now that you corrected yourself, we are good. I agree that most are average to good talent tops.

Thank goodness we didn't get sucked in by one of those terrible defenders and were able to lock down a great QB at 10.

Cards were inches away from trading for him two years ago before Oakland with higher draft picks swooped in.
They were then keeping him on their list of priority free agents last year before Oakland re-signed at the last minute.
Will they try for a third year???
