Something about that place makes our team play at their worst.
I have no doubt we woulda, coulda, shoulda won that game.
The Redskins were no better or worse than the Cardinals.
Penalties, bad bounces, dropped passes, missed INT oppoutunities, missed tackles, bad play calls, etc, etc.
Our turnovers absolutely KILLED us, and our defense brought little to the table.
The difference in the game today was effort. Washington gave a good effort and our team as a whole gave a sub-par effort.
Just not our day today. Learn, and get ready for the Jets is really all I can say about today.

Minus two turnovers on the road will get you beat everytime.
Very frustrating. Especially because we ran the ball pretty damn well. I expect to win when we are getting about 5 yds per carry in the run game.

Just a bad game played on the road where we are INFAMOUS for playing poorly.
I want to see how we come back against the Jets. Whole lot of football left with this season.
And please note, just when you hear people say we have not beaten anyone significant the Dolphins WHOOP on the Patriots.
Today was dissapointing but what it means in regards to this season is yet to be seen.
Next week will be VERY interesting.

It seemed like we didn't know what part of our game plan to stick with, run or throw. And then the stupid penalties, including let the clock run out. How many times did we snap the ball with just a second or less on the clock?

Looked like a road game to me. The probelem is that you have to play that much better on the road because things will not go your way. We didn't do that today and we lost. We still need to split this road trip so this loss just makes winning next week a little more important.
-Is it me or did it look like one of these teams was believing their own pub a bit too much.

I am over this loss already. (I think.) It was a non-divisional game, a road loss; it could have been worse. The lack of focus bothers me, but I believe the Cardinals will bounce back from this.
No loss could be as horrific as the MNF game against the Bears two years ago, or the Niners home debacle last season, so I'm OK - as long as the Cards learn from it and adjust for next week.
I've made a vow not to get too excited about any win (I haven't so far), or too down about any loss (same). Just keep it even-keeled, and see where the season takes us.
The defense cost us this game today. It was non-existent.
Special Teams gets a big assist from Washington. Those penalties are unexcusable.
Play calling was suspect in the 2nd half. I'd like to see a little more aggression in that scenario.
The offense played well enough to win. Nice rushing effort by edge. I was VERY disappointed in the lack of urgency at the end of the 1st half and the 4th quarter.
We made some huge mistakes today. I'd like to think we'll learn from this and kick NY's rear end next week. Hopefully we'll fall off everyone's radar and they'll let us be -- again.

Still, it was a conference loss. The loss last season to Wash. cost us a playoff spot. Luckily, we are in a very weak division, but we had a chance to really take control of the NFC West and we came out flat.
Doesn't bode well for the future. We played most of this game like we were afraid to lose, which is sort of mind-boggling.
I wonder what the Cards franchise record is in Washington and Dallas. I have been a fan for nearly 40 years and I bet we haven't won over 10 games combined at those 2 places in my years as a fan. Our win % must be less than 20%.
We are going to look back at this one and say,"What if we went for it and made a first down when it was 4th and 4?"
I just hope it isn't next January when we are watching the playoffs.

I can't even read the rest of the thread past the title. "Lay an egg?" Do you guys expect the Cards to go 16-0? They lost a well-fought game to a good team. Play this game 10 times and half the time they win, half they lose.
The Cards are a good team this year. They're not unbeatable by other good teams.
