Burfict fails drug test
Burfict has had one of the biggest slides in recent draft memory. Dude has done everything wrong you can do short of failing a drug test at the combined.
Oh wait, scratch that last part.... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ts-at-combine/
Hosley was someone we had in for a visit, wonder how this might impact things on his end.

Wow, just wow. Crazy, cancer, and stupid. We don't know what drug it is, but even if we are to assume its just the wacky tobaccy it's absolutely stupid for any player to not abstain when looking for a multi-million dollar job. For VB, wow, it's the icing on the 'its not chocolate' crap cake.
The article even says the other guy that failed wrote a letter apologizing. Didn't say VB did, which I guess you can infer he didn't.
Saw this on ESPN yesterday. Another article for VB which tries to spin him in a different light...you know the requisite 'in his home, with his dogs, talking about his childhood' piece.
Warning, the picture headlining the story has Vontaze on the couch with his shirt off. Yep, still pudgy. Sure that'll help his draft stock.

If his stock was rising, this drug test probably pushes him down even further. Undrafted is now a distinct possibility. (always was one, but much greater shot now)

seriously...he failed a drug test at the combine after all the negative press prior..he's flat out dumb
He is 100% undraftable...he's not even a guy you should bring in for free. His head isn't on right.
He may have the talent to play, but he's far from ready to be a pro.
That's a cancer I wouldn't want....all you need is him trying to show off and blindside Larry Fitz coming over the middle during training camp.

Burflict fails drug test
This kid just flat out doesn't want to be in the league. Sad what a joke he has become.

And now there's that. The kid is a lost cause. I have to ask, what does he have to fall back on now?

Name one thing Burfict has done this offseason to improve his draft status. The answer is nothing. With half a brain, he could be a productive player in the league. Instead, he is a flat out knucklehead who does not care about the game. He could have garnered a $15 mil contract by staying motivated, committed and focused, but now he'll most likely sign for the rookie minimum ($375k). He's not even worth a 7th round pick at this point.
The sad thing is many saw this coming. The kid would make some brilliant plays and subsequently ruin the team's momentum by committing several personal fouls.

So he's lazy. He's clearly stupid. And now he uses drugs. Great resume for the kid.

While I wouldn't spend a pick on him, I'd definitely still sign the kid as an UDFA.

Me too. As great a disappointment as he's been over the last couple years, maybe A-Dub and Dockett can jump him and get his head on straight.
What a waste of talent, he looked like an all world player his freshman year, and just regressed from there.

why?
failing the drug test (at the combine) amounts to showing up to a job interview drunk. HE KNEW a drug test was coming months before....his agent TOLD HIM. Did the knowledge of his agent telling him stop him? Did he think about this is the NFL and not pee wee football? Did he even think about it?
I don't care what his skill set is....his head isn't right and you can't think his talent is that good that it far outweighs his inability to process basic information.
He isn't worth the hassle to the coaching staff.

I don't think he'd work out in AZ to be truthful. The best opportunity for him IMO would be in Baltimore to learn from Ray Lewis, who would challenge him to be a better person as well as a FB player.
Also, T Sizzle would love to help out a fellow Sun Devil.
