Boomer calling out Aikman

I was listening to the Cowherd show today and he said he was going to talk about Boomer calling Aikman's coverage of the Cards/Cowpies game as biased. Unfortunately I had to go to a meeting before they ever got there. Did anybody else hear it?

Boomer lives in a glass house and shouldn't throw stones.

What, is he going to drive the bandwagon for us now? F that guy.

Aikman wasnt biased in his commentary in anyway shape or form. Aikman is one of the best in the biz now and shows it everytime he is on the air.

Boomer Eisaison, former QB, now with CBS. I did hear about it on Bickley and MJ this morning. I don't think that Boomer really has any agenda either way so his criticism may be valid.

Here's the story about Boomer calling out Aikman, including the audio link to the show he was on.

And here's what Aikman had to say:

After re-listening to the game, he sounded liike a HOF Cowboy QB who's not so far removed from the game and his team, that despite his absolute best intentions, his loyalties shown through.

He wasn't awful, and if I wasn't a Cardinal freak I would have only poked minor fun at it.

A decade from now he'll probably be a lot more balanced. For now, it may be best for him to call non-NFC East games.

If he's "the number one talent" on Fox's broadcasting team than Fox needs to work on getting more talent. He's good, but he's not amazing.

Of course he's a Cowboy at heart. But I think he did a fairly good job of keeping that at bay and being relatively objective. For example he jumped on the officials for the no call when Mike Jenkins went through Fitz without drawing a flag. I watched many games with Troy Aikman as the analysis, and he is one of the most unbiased, but opinionated, guys out there.

It sure didn't help that Dick Stockton was doing the play-by-play guy. That guy is a knucklehead, who miscalls about every other play.

I actually agree with Boomer. Troy did sound biased. Sorry but true. Only time he spoke unbiasly (sp?) about the Cards was when there were glaring errors by the refs.

Everything negative about the Cowboys was an excuse. Everything positive about the Cowboys was like it was expected and how dare you think differently.

Everything negative about the Cardinals was like it was expected and how dare you expect them to be up to a challenge like the Cowboys. Everything positive about the Cardinals was clearly a mistake or miscue by the Cowboys and it won't last as the boys will figure it out.

Troy Aikman is a CLASS ACT. I met him once at a resturant in Scottdale and he was nothing but pure class. Signed a few autographs and finished his dinner. It was actually really rude of me to ask him during his meal....oh well.

I watched the whole game and thought he did fine......Dick Stockton is the one who needs to go away in a hurry. He was messing up names all day. He did the same thing with my white sox during the sox/rays series.

Boomer has thrown the cards under the bus for years.......ala his pal Collinsworth. He used to joke about forgetting his time in ARZ altogether. What a jag......go away Boomer. Besides Pete Prisco deserves to drive this bandwagon anyway, hell he's picked us what....the last 4-5 years?lol

Then you haven't been paying attention to Boomer the past 5 years or so.

Take him off the CBS pregame show and the watchability would double.

Boomer should just go away. Aikman was mildy annoying, but only because I always think the announcerss are biased.

Just win, and that "bias" 1) won't matter and/or 2)will go away.
