Adrian was penalized last year when he hit the airborne reciever with his shoulder pad. That wasn't even illegal as the league acknowledged by not fining Wilson. This one was definitely much more ferocious hit with both safeties hitting with helments an obvious airborne Anquan. I was shocked no flags were thrown on the play. I will be even more shocked if these guys are not at least fined. The Cardinals FO must file a complaint if they haven't already done so.

I know that the Cardinals correct first priority was Anquan, but I wonder if this is something the officials can throw a delayed flag on, similar to grounding the ball on the offense. It was in the last two minutes, so if it IS reviewable, you would assume they would review the hit, then assess the penalty. As much focus as there is on safety, if it is NOT reviewable, then that should be corrected and it SHOULD be reviewable.
As for suspensions, it probably depends on the player's history. If he's a first-time offender, probably not.

According to Somers blog none of the Cardinals players thought it was just a cheap shot, a penalty yes but a cheap shot no.
Jets beat writters were not able to talk to Smith the guy who did the hit but they all think Smith suffered a concusion on the hit and all think he will be fined or suspended.
On the brighter side this may have triggered an event to get Boldin to start talks with ownership again. Both Mike and Bill stayed back and styaed at the hospital with Boldin. Mike also flew Boldin, Boldins fiancee and son back to AZ on his personal jet. That act of caring for Boldin may just be the thing to get Boldin and Ownership talking again.
Major illegal play... Major head to head hit... Rhodes (#25) actually was the bigger offender. He lead with his head from behind Q and it was his hit that forced Q into Smith (#33).
2 game suspension coming. I watched the replay enough times to know that Roger will EASILY see that the player was not going for the ball...he was intentionally spearing at Boldin's head.
Roger just put out a memo on the topic of helmet to helmet contact and that, 'IT WON'T BE TOLERATED.'
2 game suspension coming
We'll agree to disagree... Rhodes let with his head IMO and is the one who caused Boldin and Smith to collide head to head... pretty clear cut to me...

Pariah is right, lead with his shoulder (sorry the image is blurry)

Looking at it again, while I agree it should be a penalty on Lowry's part, I don't know you can fine/blame him. He was making a play for Boldin's chest when Boldin was pushed into a Lowry's helmet (by a legal hit from behind).
I know people want to point fingers, but I think this is just football and not a cheap shot on anyone's part.

I don't know. I guess we'll disagree but I've looked at that video over and over. IMO he has his head down and leading with his helmet. He could have gone lower and hit him with the shoulder pads.
