It's about being proactive instead of reactive. I would describe reactive as Graves draft day trade for two "need" positions as opposed to his predecessor’s drafting Trufant despite having two solid starters at that position. I'm sure there are many around here that also scoffed at the signing of Okefor and trading for Hand, but both enabled Seattle to draft the best available athlete at pick #11.
And by the way, calling someone a criminal in the NFL is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500. These guys beat each other up for a living, and nobody's advocating signing Ross (unlike Ray Thompson) to a long term contract.
So I guess we can add Ross to the ever growing pile of Cardinal rejects that included the aforementioned Hand,
Ted Washington, Dan Wilkinson, Marco Coleman, and
Kevin Johnson.
What does the rest of the league know, anyway??
