Anyone wish we had signed Hank Baskett over the Colts getting him?
I had mentioned it in at least two of my posts that I thought after seeing the weakness we had at least in our #3 wide reciever position and now seeing we really have some injured guys this year,we really could have used Baskett as the Colts will turn him into a real nice target and he will meet thier needs as he could have met ours.
I know coach Whiz did'nt want to add anymore thoughts to the passing game but it got us to 1 SuperBowl and In just my personal opinion. The future is still NOW and we should have made a run for him.
Why did we even dress Long out last week and let him play in such an important game? Then get rid of him unceremoniously?Until our WR's are healthy we are'nt the same team.Breaston missed practice yesterday and I have'nt heard about today yet.I'm too scared to ask. This should have long been over with by now as I had thought it was'nt this serious. Now it must be serious.
Now the Colts lose Gonzalez for 8 weeks at least and have Baskett to play against us on Sunday night. He should be in red& white.
Now you can all jump on me like a pack of wild dogs and tear me a new one.I don't care. Its just my opinon.
I've met the 100 post mark and still can't post an avatar.Am I still considered a newb? Please someone let me know the criteria to shoot for?

I kind of thought about Baskett, but new it wasn't a real option based on the fact that Doucet is coming back from his rib injury. Baskett would have never signed here based on the fact that he never would have cracked the top 3 or maybe even 4.

Agree.
Baskett went to UNM. I am quite familiar with the dude. IMO, he won't help us.

Doug,
Who else should have dressed in place of Long? Breaston and Doucet were out and Boldin was gimpy.
Baskett wasn't available until after our game.

Not really WR isn't anywhere near a top priority.
