If there were a way to move him back to that zone/nickle back I'd be all for it.

But, we've got no real replacement at FS. Matt Ware isn't much of a tackler either, and he's a guy who, like Rolle, has played the bounce between CB and S.

Here's to FA or the draft.

I remember the first time I saw this kid in a Cards uniform, I thought, damn, this kid can TACKLE, I hope he can cover.

Just another guy that forgot how to play the game, shortly after depositing his signing bonus.

How cash do we save by cutting him and Edge in the offseason?

I'm telling you, do you folks want Edge and Rolle? Or Boldin?

Calling Joeshmoe.

The equation is much more complicated than that... What do we do to replace Edge and Rolle? Along with picking up an improvement over Green at corner?? What about Dansby? Should we let him go? If so, how do we do to replace him and what does that cost??

I understand what you're saying, but my take is this:

Nothing we would do to upgrade those positions would be of more value to this team than extending Q.

In my eyes, it really is that simple. You don't let a Q go to sign a Terrance Holt. Or draft a Rolle. Which is what you are risking by not paying a future hall of famer that has some 4 or 5 prime years left in his career.

We also need a young stud outside linebacker. Berrys contract is up and is injury prone. Okeafor is old and has one year left on his contract at 5 million bucks.

I've defended Rolle for years but i can't anymore. He's been pretty bad this year. Oh well, look for Taylor Mayes to be patrolling CF next year.
