70 Yard Dallas TD Should Have Been Called Back!

Didn't see this mentioned yet...but on that 70 yard td score by Dallas...I saw what looked like a complete "block in the back" by T.O towards the sideline that freed the Dallas runner.

I hit rewind a few times, and to me it looks totally obvious. Anybody catch that?

They earned that run as much as the cardinals botched it.

There would be no sour grapes from me about that play if the Cowboys won, either.

I was yelling that 76 was holding B-train again on that play. I even had a Cowgirl fan here at my house and he agreed. It was blatent as all get out. We must stop giving hope to teams that we have buried. Keep your foot firmly planted on their throat.

I was sreaming about it also. Clearly, a block in the back. Makes the victory even sweeter that we overcame the refs.

No question about it. Just another of the numerous missed/errant calls by this rotten crew of officials.

IIRC blocks in the back are ok on normal plays. It's returns they're not allowed on. I could be wrong though, but that's how I think they call it.

I pointed out in the "game thread" that there was a hold and two blocks in the back on that play.

I won't take anything away from Barber, but let's just say that I have definitely seen the flag thrown on those kinds of blocks before.

That hold on Berry was blatant! I was screaming at the TV and watched the replay 10 times. I couldn't stop bitching about it.

Terrell Owens just engages his guy and pushes him to the sideline. What you're probably talking about is the block at 2:23. Looks like the Cowboys player just blocks from the side.

The officials let that lardass Flozell Adams get away with so much it was almost embarrassing. It was like they didn't call holding as long as he didn't jump on the guy's back and ride him to the ground.

Regardless...screens and wide plays to Dansby's side have been big gainers all year. Watch Dansby on the play...he was tooled, was never blocked, and never even threatened Barber, when he should have squared up, made Barber commit and take him down.

If Dansby was in the area he was the only Cardinal player there. The entire right side of the field (Cards right) was devoid of defensive players from the LOS to about 20 yards downfield.

Stupid prevent!

But, I did notice that the Cards just do not get big hits on guys early. They do a lot of gang tackling and dragging down but not a lot of "wow" hits like Dallas was getting.

Also, if you watch the replay, Dockett and Wilson were jogging after the play expecting someone else to tackle Barber. Awful play by the Cards.

It was definitely holding by Adams on Berry also. I guess the ref didn't want to call holding two plays in a row so he let it go the second time. BS.
