OK, so on Saturday Erin, her dad and I went to their favorite neighborhood restaurant, Wineburger (The Original) located at 6027 N 19th Ave in Phoenix. They have been going there since she was a little girl.
Wow. Quite possibly the best hamburger I've ever had. They have a huge menu and the fries are so perfectly crispy and seasoned. They have about eight beers on tap and had a Blue Moon to wash my meal down.
There is also a Harvey's Wineburger at 4812 N 16th St in Phoenix. I think the owner broke away from the original.
Give it a try sometime and let me know what you think.
I have been wanting to try this place. I eat at Harvey's on 16th street all the time. As a matter of fact, I ate there twice last week. I will have do to a comparison as they both claim to be The Original.
I like Harvey's. It is a dirty little hole in the wall type of place. Saturday it was packed with "the regulars". They provided some great entertainment. Crazy old drunks.
BTW - talked to the owner last night after the Spurs were given the series. He is refusing to show any NBA action on any of his TV's the rest of the season. If a customer asks, he will be told no...

I'll have to try to make it there sometime on a game night to show support!
