D-Dogg once told me that according to "American Eats", you "dress the dog, not the bun." That phrase changed my life.

When we grill brats at tailgating, I use a sheet of foil to put bottled saurkraut on, then fold it up and toss it on the grill. It was dubbed the "Kraut Pouch". Plus it sounds dirty.

With kraut, always the jar. Dont trust the can or the pouch.

Ketchup is for french fries and little else. Eggs? No way. On a grilled cheese? That is crazy talk.

Mayonaise should be 100% real mayo, not this low fat crap. It tastes different. Also, when I become king, Miracle Whip will be outlawed and punishable by death. It says right on the label "Salad Dressing". Freaking disgusting, why not pour some thousand island on your ham sammich you creep. On burgers, I go with mayo, lettuce, tomato and cheese. Keep the ketchup for the fries or tots.

I like pickles, but only dill and kosher dill. Sweet pickles are disgusting. I also never put pickles on my food; I always enjoy them on the side.

Relish is OK, but why have crushed pickles when you can have kraut or hot mustard.

Holy crap. You go to work in one hour, and you miss a huge thread that has SOOOO much potential.

Anywho, A-bomb got the Miracle Whip part right. It would also be outlawed in my world. However, even though it is quite possibly the worst condiment on the planet, I think that it is a condiment. Who in their right mind would eat Miracle Whip on its own? It says "salad dressing" on the label. I also think that salad dressing is a condiment. Italian/Ranch/Blue Chesse etc shouldn't be eaten alone. I am done talking about Miracle Whip, because the more I talk about it, the less manly I feel.

Mustard, all created equal IMO (meaning that I like all of them about the same. I am not a big mustard fan, so whatever type it is, it has to be minimal)

Katchup, Ketchup, Catsup, whatever you want to call it is good.

A1 Sauce is great on many things, not just steak. French fries taste just as good with A1 as Ketchup.

Tartar sauce has grown on me recently. Essential for certain types of fish.

Is chili a condiment? I would say no, because it can be eaten on its own, as well as a condiment, same as peanut butter.

Jalapenos are great

Cocktail sauce for shrimp only

Au Jus for roast beef only

Chocolate syrup is another tricky one. It could be eaten alone.... Opinions????

Honey is great in tea and sandwiches. Condiment to me.

Hate relish, horseradish, and kraut, (and I am sure that my brings me down some in the man-law scale)

Worcestershire is a wierd condiment that it has to be mixed with at least one other to have any benefit.

Syrup is another good one that cant be ignored.

Bacon bits.. condiment? What about sunflower seeds and pepperoni? What about all of the toppings on a pizza for that matter?

Gravy is a sauce. I think maybe a sauce is traditionally made from other ingredients? Meaning, even if it's pre-made and store-bouoght, if your grandmother would have had to make it herself, then it's a sauce (chances are our grandmothers didn't have to make their own ketchup or mustard).

In retrospect I only eat Gardenburgers or Turkeyburgers anymore. Ketchup goes on both.
