Went there twice this week. First trip I had the carnitas burrito with fresh salsa. Didn't really have any flavor. The second time I had the steak fajita with hot salsa. Much better. Plus they serve beer!!! Reminds me of a place back home (Bend) called Longboard Louies. LL is better and cheaper. I

I went to Chipotle again, had the carnitas burrito. Mom got mad because I'm supposed to be a good little Muslim boy. It was the best though. I love Chipotle.

Any sour cream that has been melted to hae the consistency of syrup can't be good for you.

I like sour cream though...the burrito just wouldn't be the same without everything, including the expensive scoop of guac.

I moved to a Chipotle devoid area, but luckily there's one right down the street from my office that I make sure to go to about once a week. I dunno if its training or what, but I've noticed that they have much better burrito wrappers than the one I used to go to. Even with the extra meat and extra rice the burrito stays together the entire time.

Traditional crema is thin like that of chipotles. Simple recipe:

4 parts heavy cream
1 part buttermilk

Combine both in a non reactive pot and bring to 120 degree F very slowly over a very low flame.

Remove from heat, cover tightly with plastic wrap. TIGHTLY!
Allow to sit out in a warm place, maybe on top of the fridge or above the stove overnight.

It will set up a bit, and then have the consistency of sour cream once its been completely cooled. Delicious!

Thank goodness I can't stand sour cream.
