Official 2007 Potato Thread
I love the smell of potatoes. I love the taste of potatoes.
1) Mashed potatoes
2) Baked Potatoes
3) Roasted Potatoes with rosemary, salt, garlic, olive oil.
4) French fries
5) Potatoes Gratin
6) Potatoes in cream sauce a la Peruvian
The Peruvian place with #6 also serves a deep-fried stuffed potato that I haven't tried.
Thoughts?

Last night I had boiled baby potatoes (as a side with steak and zucchini). Salt those puppies up and get ready for some good, down-to-earth yums.

Baked potato with chili and cheese. One of the best meals under $3.

That pretty much sums it up. Basically, I don't care how they're prepared...I LOVE potatoes.

I once had a "fried chicken tower" at Baby Kay's in Phoenix. Layer of mashed potatoes, layer of fried chicken, layer of potatoes, layer of chicken.
So good.

I prefer to make my mashed potatoes with mostly Yukon Gold's...If I'm using 6 potatoes, I'll make it 4 Yukons, 2 Russets. The Yukons cook up creamier, but throwing the Russet adds a little bit of fluff. SOOOO yummy...sour cream, a little garlic....

In college, I ate Potato Buds. Instant mashed. Really good.
Mix up bowl of Potato Buds. Cut up hot dog and arrange on toast. Put cheese on hot dog. put potato buds on. put on more cheese. Cook open-faced in the oven.
Delicious college food.
