When I lived in SouthEast Asia, they had the most amazing variety of exotic fruits!
Star Fruit, JackFruit, Mangosteen, Rambutan, Lumquats, Persimmons, Soursop, baby red bananas, etc, etc.
But the worst-smelling one I ever tried was the Durian - stunk like rotten onions but tasted like vanilla custard (once you got past the smell!) They even made ice cream out of it which was pretty good.
I really liked the blood oranges in Italy, and love quenepas from the Caribbean.

I love going to Lee's Market (it's a huge Asian supermarket but they sell foodstuff from all over the world). Amazing stuff you can't find anywhere else. You can even find frozen Durian there.

I had both jackfruit and star fruit in the philippines. There was another one we had that I didn't like but I can't remember the name, something like Lomboy?
First time I was there we saw Jackfruit trees all over, they'd put like burlap bags over the fruit while it was still on the tree to protect the fruit. We actually see it in our local grocery store in Cupertino sometimes.
