Find some real fried chicken. Or better yet, make your own from a chicken whose beak wasnt sheared off to keep it from stressfully pecking the other birds in the tiny cage to death. People need to be more aware of where their food comes from. I guarantee you if you saw the way commercial chickens were raised, you wouldnt eat there anymore. EAT SOME REAL FOOD, PEOPLE!
Ever since you became a so called "chef" you sure have become an obnoxious ass. Why don't you pull that baster from your butt and come back down a few notches on the ego scale

I know Linderbee.

It doesn't feel right though that I check this section more than the Suns or any other part of this forum. I love food though.

Oh and about fast food, I'll probably be eating Burger King today.

Well then, theres hope for you. Chipotle beef is naturally and hunmanely raised and grass fed. This isnt an emotional isssue. I eat meat like an SOB its a whole way of thinkinig. If we were to close down all agri-business style beef CAFO's, the envvironmental impact would be like removing 6,000,000 cars from the road. Theres more to this than emotion.

Bah. Its not ego, its concern. Im serious. All I want is for people to care about where their food comes from. I get your response a lot from poeple when I talk about this issue. People would rather eat with blinders on. Thats OK, but its not going to stop me from preaching what I view as an important gospel.

And you calling me obnoxious? Thats hilarious.

My Mom had Cancer and is fighting it, She eats only organic meats, and veggies. She feels and looks alot better so I see where he is coming from. but keep in mind she is over 60 years old. Let the young enjoy fast food, fast women and getting wasted. we can worry about the long run when we get a lil older. Hell my friends grampa is 75 and drinks a 12 pack of beer a day while my other friend worked out every day and watched what he ate and was shot in the head in 2001 and died at age 25. As Digital Underground says.... "Do what you want too"

Obviously Ryan's onto something. I seriously don't intend to come accross holier than thou and arrogant or a-holish. And it hasnt been since I became a "so-called chef," that was over 3 years ago. Its beeen in the past 6 months. Ive read a lot of interesting information and a fantastic book (The Omnivores Dilemma) that talks at length about our nations food supply, various food chains and the price we are paying both from an environmental standpoint as well as a physical standpoint (not to mention the ethical standpoint in terms of treatment of animals which is at the bottom of my concern list when speaking on this subject) for our agriculture business practices in this country, from the government subsidizing of commodity corn to the nightmares that are stockyards, pig pens and chicken coops that operate on a purely business level, no longer an agricultural one...

Anyways, I guess I overestimated to importance of this to people, and I apologize for coming across as too zealous. Im surprised so many people wanted to get all over me about that post. BUT, if you do want to discuss this issue and it is interesting to you, I can certainly try to do so from less of a judgmental standpoint. Just say the word and Ill fire up a thread that talks about the way we eat, and the big business behind feeding this country. Its honestly quite alarming...

I promise to lay off the lambasting of those who indulge in a little of the ole fast food. I do it too. I heart Chipotle and I heart in-n-out burger as well. Ill even eat me some taco bell when Im hammered, just not in New York...

My next adventure will be to try this thing with wedges instead of cole slaw and a bucket of soda.
