Jordan Almonds
There are Jordan almond freaks, and there are other people. If you are one who loves them, I shouldn't tell you this, but Safeway is again carrying seasonal 'Shkedia' jordan almonds. These are without doubt the best I've had in decades. They're hard like jawbreakers, and you have to suck on them awhile before chomping into a fresh, lovely plump almond.
They are only available in Spring, and they were in the Passover specialty section. This year they have both a (garish) blue and white, and I bought all the containers of white on sale, like a dollar off the usual expensive price. I will soon be scouting a Safeway near you... 
This is going to make losing 10 lbs by Tax day a little harder.
