Coke with no calories? Okay, what's the catch? How many ways is this going to ruin my health? Or, is it truly a wonder-cola that can be consumed without remorse?

It uses aspertame just like Diet Coke. I really don't get it. Just marketing.

i thought so at first, until i remembered the odd subset of people who actually prefer the way diet coke tastes to actual coke. coke zero is supposed to be for people who like the taste of regular coke (read: normal people), but who don't want the calories.

It's still primarily aspertame, but they mix some other sweetener with it as well that masks the aspertame aftertaste with its own aftertaste.

My primary question wasn't called out as such in the original post. Can I drink a 12-pack of this and not gain weight?

i heard it doesn't *really* taste like coke, but it's close enough to make it worth it.
it doesn't really matter to me, i can't have any of it. i'm allergic to aspertame.

BTW, this reminds me of those non alcoholic beer commercials, "What beer drinkers drink when their not drinking beer." WTF does that even mean?

Then how do you know what it tastes like?
I happen to agree, I think Coke Zero tastes pretty darn close to regular coke. It's just missing that bite at the end. |
