Best Sushi Joint

Hana Sushi.

Bar none. This is a small family owned Restaurant at 602 W. Union Hills Drive. They have a very large menu and nice Japonese atmosphere.

The place is almost always packed. I have eaten Sushi all over the valley and the Country and this is the best I have had.

Above includes a map and a little write up on it. I am heading there to meet my parents and brother right now.

I like Ra Sushi here in the Phoenix area and there's a REEEEEALLY good one (actually better than Ra) on Queen Creek/Alma School (SE Corner on the north end of the Albertson's plaza)....

The best I have ever had was in Vegas on the 3rd floor of Aladdin. Man, that was absoluely PERFECT in every way....

Yes, you are damn right!!! This place is great...delicious sushi that is closest to what I've had in Japan. Just fantastic, and great prices too.

I had the lunch special today for Lent...$7.75.

1 pc Tuna Sushi
1 pc Salmon Sushi
1 pc Whitefish Sushi
1 California Roll (6 big pieces)
1 Spicy Tuna Roll (8 pieces)
Small Salad

That's a hell of a lot of food, and it was just great. Regular prices are about $5 for a spicy tuna roll. Only $5.50 for a philly roll. 9 bucks for a caterpillar roll. So, very good pricing.

And to top it off, it is damn good sushi. Thanks alot, KoC for the recommend.

I'm going back every Friday for lunch throughout lent. Tim, want to join me next week?

There is a lot of salmon in the lake, and I know people who eat it. Tuna not so much.

Fun fact: The water in Lake Michigan is about 95% from glacial melt.

No, not busy really. Got there just after noon. I'm freaking stuffed. I was dumb and ordered edamame too, not knowing how full I'd be.

Alright then...see you there Friday.

I was seriously asking, btw. I didn't know that. Isn't there a lot of pollution in the lake? People really eat it?

dd, how do you make use of the wasabi/soy/ginger dish? If the sushi is good, I won't dip the pieces, but I will eat the ginger that I soak in the soy/wasabi mixture.
