Best Super Bowl recipes ... post 'em if you got 'em

Having people over for the big game? If so, what are you serving? Post your best recipes here!

Here's a cheap, easy one for taco dip that I use that people always love (of course, most of these people were not from Arizona, where good Mexican food is easy to find).

Mix 8 ounces of sour cream and 8 ounces of cream cheese. Spread in the bottom of a pie plate or other cake/pie pan. Top with a 16 ounce jar of salsa. Then top with 8 ounces (or more) of cheddar or other cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.

Miller Lite 30 Pack (serves 3-4)

1. Buy a 30 pack
2. Rip it open
3. Put cans into the fridge
4. Drink them all
5. Save a few for a post game beer bong

Can substitute Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, or even Miller High Life

I am going to make hot wings. I made these last year, simple as hell and nice and hot.

1 bag of frozen wings... I forgot how big, but I think Tyson only makes 1 size.
1 full bottle of that asian hot sauce with the rooster on it.
1 half bottle of garlic hot sauce
30 pack of beer (see azsouthendzone's recipe)

Step 1: Open 30 pack on Saturday night. Drink 5-6 then remember you need to thaw the wings.

Step 2: Thaw wings.

Step 3: Make sexual advances on your spouse, get denied, check on wings.

Step 4: Once wings are thawed, place in a baking dish. Make sure to spread them a bit, and only do 1 layer high.

Step 5: Mix hot sauces and whatever other stuff you want to put into the mix. I suggest more hot sauce.

Step 6: Cover and refrigerate over night.

Step 7: Wake up hangover free because only pansies get hangovers, remove wings from refrigerator while preheating oven to 350.

Step 8: Remove plastic wrap or anything meltable from the top of the dish. Replace with Tin Foil.

Step 9: Bake until done. Approximately 1.5 - 2 beers (drinking moderately slow).

Step 10: Make sure they are done. Salmanilla sucks. Eat them mothers and enjoy your frequent trips to the toilet.

* Eat with Ranch or Blue Cheeese if you're into that sort of thing. Keep liquids handy for the wimps.

ROUND OF SHOTS

1. Game begins after a very drawn out intro
2. Patriots put up 21 in the first quarter
3. Eli is picked thrice
4. Halftime comes and you realize Petty is over the hill
5. Go grab some hard stuff, pour a round of shots
6. Repeat
7. Call and invite boss to party to ensure they let you come in at noon
8. Pretend you are a Patriots fan
9. Make someone go get more beer that eventually doesn't get opened

schutd's chili would be fantastic for the Super Bowl...

Quote:
Pork Chorizo Chili

Ingredients:
1 lb Homemade Chorizo (method follows)
½ lb Slab Bacon (thick sliced if cant find slab)
6 oz Beer
2 15oz cans Pinto beans (not refrieds, whole pintos) drained
1 6oz can Tomato Paste
1 28oz can Crushed Tomatoes
1 Large onion, minced
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 small Green Bell Pepper, ½" dice
6T Ancho chili powder (lessen if you prefer, as chorizo has kick all its own)
1T Cumin
To Taste Garlic powder (if needed)
To Taste S and P

Chorizo:

1 ½ lbs Ground pork (not low fat)
½ lb Ground pork fat (optional, but recommended, especially if ground pork is lean, as it usually is)
3 cloves Garlic, minced
4T Ancho chili powder
2T Dried Oregano (Mexican preferred)
To Taste ( but at least 2 t) Salt
½ t Black pepper
½ t Cumin
1/8 t Ground clove
6 T Cider Vinegar

Directions:
1. For Chorizo: Combine pork and fat, if using, in a mixing bowl. Mix all this lightly as you don’t want your hands to start melting the fat and making the mixture gummy. Add all seasonings, sprinkle vinegar over, and mix well, again, without making it gummy. Cook off a little piece to check seasoning and adjust as necessary. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and leave in fridge for 24 hours, 2 or 3 days if you can, it’ll just get better.

2. Make the chili: If you are using slab bacon, cut into ¾ “ dice. If using thick sliced, cut into squares. Heat a lg dutch oven over very low heat. Add bacon, and cook slowly until well colored and has rendered its fat. Remove from pot and set aside. Add onion, garlic and bell pepper to the remaining bacon fat. Season with a pinch of salt and cook slowly until starting to soften. Turn heat up to medium high, and once pot has heated as well, add Chorizo and sauté until just undercooked, breaking it up as it cooks. Add tomato paste and cook until deep red, and starting to caramelize on the bottom of the pot. Add the beer and scrape up any brown bits that have stuck to the bottom of the pot.

3. Add beans, crushed tomatoes, cooked bacon, and all seasonings and bring to a simmer. As soon as it starts to bubble, turn heat to low and cook for 45 mins to an hour to let flavors meld. If its getting too thick, add a touch of chicken stock. At the end, check and adjust all seasonings. Remove from heat and cool. Let it sit overnight in the fridge. It will be better the next day.

I don't want to get grease burns. Sheesh! Also, some of the best wings I've had have been baked. Also X2, baking means I can spend more time drinking and bitching about the pregame stuff.
