El Bravo on 7th St between Dunlap and Northern is great.

YES! That's what I get! Green chile beef burro. Their Tamales at Xmas are very good, too.

So, Linda and I were looking for a Mexican Restaurant to meet some friends (aka DBack Jon and Rob) at last night. Instead of searching on the "regular" internet, we come here because we just knew there was a thread about this in the Food Forum.
Linda calls Jon and I hear her say "How about Los Dos Molinos?" Then there is a pause. Then I head her say, with all seriousness, "It comes highly recommended by ASFN." It was funny as hell, I tell ya.

The best I have found in Phoenix is Chayo's at 48th St and Thomas. They do a really good job of both New Mexican and Mexican and they always send out buy 1 get 1 free deals in the SuperSaver mailers.
For tacos, I like Taco Tote at 35th Ave and Camelback...it is a chain out of Juarez that has expanded to Texas, Arizona and Colorado.
The other Mexican place I like is Torta La Presa at 7th St and Hatcher.
