Ra is pretty good.
I like Ah-So on Baseline and Gilbert as well.

LOL...I love to say Ah-So like Homer Simpson did in that one episode.
There's a place called Kyoto in Scottdale that is pretty popular.

Ra has great sushi - but I haven't found a place that has good, regular Japanese dishes like the curry beef, odon noodle soups (I love those)!

REAL Japanese at Kanpai, Bell and around 25th St. It's closer to the stuff you'll get in Japan than anywhere else I've been in the Valley.

I like Sushi Brokers...but the absolute best sushi for the best price is at Ichiban over by
Sun Devil Stadium . Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls...awesome.
As for just Japaneese places, Ah-So is the best.
Eastwind on tbird and tatum is good at a good price...lots of noodle dishes and yaki soba, etc. I used to lunch there a lot when I worked in the area.
