Question regarding line-up

If I have a player playing on Monday and he has no game Tuesday, can I replace his spot with another player who is playing on Tuesday and will I still be able to keep his Monday stats?

I can do this for hockey and just want to make sure I can change my line-up every day without losing any of their totals.

No, it's a weekly lineup. Your lineup by the deadline Monday is your lineup throughout the week.

Really? That seems kind of strange to me. Doesn't that make our bench pretty much useless then? The bench is never going to accumulate stats, unless a bench player happens to play a few more games that week than a starter, or there is an injury. Certainly, our 7 through 10 guys will never get time.

That's your choice, but this is the same way that all head-to-head leagues are operated (except for gametime.ws). If your 7 through 10 guys never get time, well, that's how it is.

Most times, that's how you WANT it to be. Why would you want your #9 guy to get time over your #4 or #5? You wouldn't if he's healthy. Your bench is what it is. Safety against injury.

Also, if for some reason one of your top guys has only 2 games during a given week (unlikely, but let's just say that for sake of argument), but your #7 guys has 4 games during a specific week, then you have to decide if those 4 games will garner better cumulative statistics than the 2 from your better player.

I don't know why the confusion here. This is how ESPN, Yahoo and CBS do their head-to-head leagues.

This is NOT a daily league. If it were, I would guarantee that at least 50% wouldn't participate as much as you would want. The NBA season is too long for it. Gametime.ws had some guys that stuck with it throughout the year, but not many--and that was for a league half this size.

I'm not complaining, I've just never seen that before. I've only ever played the yahoo leagues, and you can change your lineup daily. But you can also set your lineup for each day at the beginning of the week.

I like it this way better. It is a pain in the ass to have to check your lineup everyday.

Actually Yahoo's head-to-head public leagues have daily lineup changes. Usually what happens though is you have maybe half the league make daily changes, maximizing the number of games played by their players, while the other half doesn't bother.
