Have they officially cancelled it yet? They still have the show listed on their web site. I know that there were rumors about them cancelling it but I don't think its been done yet.
Maybe they're still thinking it over (well thats what I'm hoping for anyways)

After a two-season (24 episode) run, HBO has decided not to renew its Emmy®-winning Depression-era drama, Carnivale . As Carolyn Strauss said, "We have decided not to renew Carnivale. We feel the two seasons we had on the air told the story very well and we're proud of what everyone associated with the show has accomplished."
Garnering widespread critical praise, Carnivale contributed to HBO's 32 Primetime Emmy® Award wins in 2004, landing 5 awards out of 7 nominations. The wins include trophies for Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series, ending the series on a high note.

That's such bullcrap because Season 2 ended with a ton of questions and a pretty major cliffhanger.

Oh, I thought the storyline FINALLY got to a great part! Both the Priest and Sophie were alive with special powers, and it looked like the main character was seriously hurt. Now you have a bunch of carnies, who society considers dregs, fighting for the human race and good. While the priest has powerful allies, and a facade of good and decency behind him. It could have made for a very interesting fight for survival with the nomadic carnies versus the evil church goers.

I still have a gut feeling Shaq will be better next season (2008/2009) after our docs have a full off season to work their magic on the Big Saguaro!
Man, I'm surprised so many people are into Real Time with Bill Maher. That's refreshing to see
Love Real Time.
Entourage and Rome currently. Wife and I watched SATC all the time. HBO does good series. Looking forward to the new comedy with Bill Paxton that is upcoming...looks like it could be good.

Forgive my non knowledge of HBO. I dont get it at home but I rent a lot of the series when they come out on DVD. So probably a stupid question, but what is SATC? Plus is Rome good enough for me to rent when they come out on DVD.
